BARRICADES

I said something to myself one day…

That I don’t want to reach a level where those who need me cannot reach me.

Thinking about it I said, what is the essence of being there when you can’t do the exact thing you are expected to do or reach out to those you need to reach out to.

Getting to some certain level in life is not everything. What matters most is delivering your task.

Everyone has a task at hand that needs to be delivered but sometimes we get entangled with other activities that only wear us out and end up abandoning the actual given task.

Everything that is not your work can only wear you out.

Imagine someone is placed for you to meet because he or she has a role to play in your life but because of the barricades the individual built around him you are not able to meet – maybe the person doesn’t even know you exist.

And what if you are the one being placed for someone to meet with you because you have a role to play in that individual’s life but because of where you have placed yourself and what you have built around you has made the person not be able to reach you.

In all this, we are contributing to the delay of destiny and sometimes to the altering of destiny.

Had you been able to reach out to the right people at the right time, some lives won’t be what they are today, some will not have that ugly story and what can be prevented would have been prevented.

We all at every point in time are linked to each other. Someone was involved in who you are today and you need to be involved in someone’s tomorrow.

Certain things in life such as level can sometimes only help you build barricades around you by blocking every means for those who need you to be able to reach you.

Don’t wait to hear the sad story and end up saying I didn’t know or I have no idea. You would have known and you would have had an idea if only you had placed yourself within their reach.

Try not to build those unfruitful barricades and let yourself be reachable by those who need you because there is a reason for being who you are. It is not for your benefit alone but also for those that need your kind of person.

If all those that you were able to reach had blocked every means of you being able to reach them, where would you have been?

Don’t be a part of delaying someone’s destiny and don’t be a part of altering Someone's destiny – rather, be in the making.
