How rich are you?

As usual, when the word “rich” is being mentioned the first thing that comes to mind is the amount of money you have saved up or the number of possessions you have.

Today I’m not here to talk about money or possession. I’m here to talk about the aspect of life that some people don’t really give attention to except for selfish reasons.

You can be rich in love and rich in friendship.

Being rich in love shows the sincerity or how crystal your love is. This love I’m talking about is not just between two people, I’m talking about the love you share in your everyday life with the people you get to meet or relate with.

How you love tells people your kind of person and people define you from how you love.

There are so many things that the word “love” carries and they are all connected to relating with someone or the people around you.

Your love can either be rich, average or poor. It all depends on who you are and how you view life.

Being rich in friendship is something that can hardly be gotten because these days friendships are most times laid on the basis of “what’s in it for me?”. Hardly can you find friendships that are rich enough to stand. Most of it is built with tools from the factory of Mr. Self, thereby not having the quality of standing strong.

Being rich in friendship is having a healthy relationship that can stand irrespective of the circumstances.

Some may think having many people in your life means you are rich when it comes to friendship – but no, it all goes down to the quality of that friendship. Is it rich, average or poor?

You can have few people in your life and be rich in friendship and you can have hundreds of people in your life and be poor in friendship.

It also goes down to you whether the people in your life can count you among the numbers of those that make them rich in friendship?

How you relate with others can either be rich, average or poor.

Imagine the same size of boxes are kept for the measurement of your riches in different aspects – will you only have a full box when it comes to money and possession or will the boxes of love and friendship carry weight also?

Mostly people concentrate on money and possessions but how is our love life? How is our friendship? Can it be counted or can it only be forgotten?

Rich things are hardly forgotten, they are always remembered by those who cherish it.

As we run through life, everyone needs a rich love and friendship. Nobody is an island, we all have someone or people in our lives and how we relate can either be rich, average or poor.

Why not walk towards having a rich love life and a rich friendship intentionally? Because if you are not ready to make it work nobody can make you.
