I've heard so many versions of matters concerning reunion.
Everyone has his/her view on how they see it.
To some, it's something positive while to others is something not worth their time except when they find themselves in a better condition.
The reunion I've attended so far is a reunion that is more like a family meeting. Of course, you know how a family can be...Quite interesting in every way.
Being a part of this association I've heard some comments that baffle me. I hear some people say they don't have what it takes to be part of it or be active in it.
What does it take for you to be part of a family? Once you are born into it (alma mater) it becomes your family whether you attain a certain level or not.
The issue of being intimidated or feeling inferior is not healthy at all when it comes to being a part of a family.
Be who you are and let others make an impact on you without you withdrawing from where you need to be.
Sometimes we talk about helping and uplifting others - how can that be possible when you don't join the ship that carries everyone? Because no one is a magician who can automatically know who you are and what goes on with you and then run to you like a headless chicken to do the needful.
To make it to the right land all hands need to be on deck. Backing out saying you are going to wait till you make it in life isn't the answer.
You never can tell the positive outcome you will derive from being a part of an association you need to be.
Standing from a distance and judging everything your visual can behold from that standpoint is a mistake because you can never see or understand the clearer picture and what it entails from a distance.
Standing alone makes you a desert but standing with all makes you an island.
Try to be where it is right for you to be and try to be closer so you can see and understand.
